LEARNING TOOLS

The program course and discussion will be based on Phillips Exeter’s Harkness discussion-based pedagogy. There will be real world case studies to read through as well as online videos and info for everyone to do as homework. Students will need to hand in their deliverable at the end of each following session. Through this program, we expect the students to be able to debate, articulate their argument concisely and professionally, write professionally, as well as to be able to present their case studies. Some of the deliverables will entail project work requiring the students to communicate with their teammates. At the end of each program (during the sixth sessions), students will be expected to a presentation about a subject. The rigors of the program are dictated and structured as professional in the working world more than pure theoretical experience.

Discussing about many of our global issues. Examples include:

  • Global Warming

  • Ethnic and Minority Issues

  • Global Trend, City and Urban Regional Planning and their Economic Effects

  • Technology Changes Affecting Lifestyles and the Growing Discrepancy Amongst Mainstream Workers and High Tech workers

  • Deep Dive into the Varying Economic Regions: America vs Europe vs Asia vs Middle East vs Africa

  • Global Food Supplies Issues

The program shall provide the skills necessary for the students in their future educational career as they apply for competitive programs at US boarding schools.
This program will also provide the experience and confidence they need to build up in preparation for foreign university applications and career overseas.
