The GLP aims to improve students’ potential by focusing on five main areas. Global Discussion provides students the opportunity to discuss social issues and global news, with one another and with our European staff and teaching assistants who come from unique cultural backgrounds. Through these discussions, students will learn more about the world, broaden their perspectives, and develop their problem-solving skills. Students will also participate in team-building activities, such as visiting a science museum, kayaking, interacting with animals at farms, and other activities where they can develop leadership and communication skills. Leadership orientation asks the students to present their schedules to the team at the beginning of each day. This provides a great opportunity for them to partake in a leadership role and improve their self-confidence. In the English Brush-up sessions, students will review English vocabulary and grammar in order to bring their English up to a native level. Through this program, students will have the opportunity to engage with people of various backgrounds and hone their English skills while gaining confidence through discussions of important global matters.
Discussion topics include global issues such as climate change, educational disparity, health and medical issues, and more.
